Brannon Stables is conveniently located to Lexington, Frankfort,
Georgetown, and Versailles, KY. While we specialize in the training and
showing of saddlebreds, standardbreds, hackneys, and various other
breeds, we are committed to providing safe, correct instruction to
beginning, intermediate, and advanced riders in both English and
western disciplines.
Our farm is located on one hundred and fifty acres of rolling pastures
where we maintain a twenty-six stall barn with indoor riding. In addition,
an outdoor driving and riding arena, jump area, round pens, and open
pastures are available for training, instruction, or recreation.
The farm has been family-owned and operated since 1978 by Sam
Brannon, a member of The ARHPA Hall of Fame, as well as the
Saddlebred/Kentucky State Fair Hall of Fame. He currently focuses his
attention on the training of young driving prospects. His daughter,
Nancy Brannon, herself, a world champion competitor in fine harness
driving and saddle seat equitation, manages the training of the pleasure
show horses and the conducting of lessons for academy and
recreational students.

July and August will be busy show months for horses and riders at Brannon Stables. Come out and support the barn at the Mercer County Fair during the last week of July or at Shelbyville the first week in August. The State Fair is not soon to be under way as well! Ask Nancy about how to get involved!
